Wintry Bliss
Christmas Day
The outside fire
I see in my peripheral vision,
And, as I type these words
Divine love is my mission;
I do as I’m minutely guided,
And try to bring joy to others
For, nothing is real that seems,
And all mankind are brothers.

I will never tire
Another day of contente
Is what I need;
Another fine day
Where my peace stays with me,
And, as I wind my way through
This wonder-filled day;
I have the full realization
That another day of contente,
Is something of which
I will never tire.

Give
Our collective purpose
Is to reflect divine Love
And all its good qualities,
And do the will of God
Each in our everyday lives,
And to give to those in need;
As God would have them looked after.

God leads
God, Love, leads me
To where I’m needed today
And often, if a correction is needed,
I have to do so, with a kind heart,
As following God’s will works for me,
Since it guarantees that I will be,
And I am right now,
Exactly in my right place;
And continue to be where needed
At precisely the right time
All due to God leading me.

I’m fine being different
Most of what I know
Opposes the mainstream thought,
And while metaphysics
May not be for everyone,
I daresay those who do gain the wisdom
Reach the proverbial summit,
And learn the illusiveness of life;
And whomever strives is upheld;
Lifted up, for we are all offspring
Of the one Father, God,
Who is Love, divine Principle,
And Who is not at all concerned
With the common thought;
For He is the originator of all good thoughts,
Who communicates directly to those
Who listen and follow,
And yet, so few are doing so,
That it is considered different,
But, I’m fine with being different,
Because I'm divinely guided.

Power
I once had my picture taken
With a man who had actually
Walked - yes, right on the moon,
And, as it happened,
The other people in the picture
Were holding up a sign that said,
"More power to you".
There is so much power
In the universe already,
Which is exascerbated greatly,
Just by knowing that Spirit is the source
Of all things good and wonderful.

Ad infinitum
I have had moments of sheer joy,
Times when everything worked out so perfectly,
Things really seem to be going my way;
Then, there are moments also,
When a sadness tries to come over me;
But, I quickly stand guard
Against the intruding thought,
The joy stealer,
And I cling solidly to the love of Love,
Then, those joy-filled moments return,
And were never really lost:
Simply clouded to my vision,
As in reality,
Joy being a quality of Love
Continues, ad infinitum.

a friend in need
I was sitting around needing a friend,
And God, because He knows everything,
Knew that, so right then,
The telephone rang,
And it was a friend, alright.
She put a smile on my face,
Helping me lift my thoughts up,
And the wrong ones, were all removed,
They were wiped away in laughter;
Then, I blew my nose and got on with the day,
Thankful that a friend was there when needed
And that God knew my need;
And in complete awe of how
He manages to meet everyone’s need
For a friend, always at just the right time.

No formula for love
There is no specific formula
For love,
Although there are many laws
Of love,
Yes, there are laws of the universe,
Which are all true,
No matter if anyone knows
Or cares,
The laws of love constitute
Completeness,
Perfection,
The pure essence of love,
And they control us all.

Small town church
The little church had a sign
It said we may overlook God,
But God still looks over us;
And, I so loved seeing this,
Because I know that no matter
What the circumstance,
God is there, looking over us;
Loving and supporting us,
Giving us all the ideas needed,
In order that our lives are enriched.

Uplifted
I know exactly where to turn,
And Who is going to help me through
When I need help.
Love takes every opportunity
To open its arms and take me through
Each human situation,
No matter what it is,
And one thing I’ve gleaned for certain:
This thing, this infinite entity called Spirit,
Does guide and govern us,
And completes the circle of Love.

Praying
I know what’s happening
And I go along with the currents of Love
As I sing my songs:
I hear the only voice I heed:
It says: "Stay with me",
My heavenly Father says,
"Don’t do what they say
Rather, My dear daughter,
Do whatever I say"
For I am ALL.

What to do
Whenever I wonder,
I tell myself: "Don’t wonder!"
Things will work out, in fact,
They are working out this exact moment;
Everyone and everything is constantly
In their right place, put there by God;
Yes, in God’s infinite kingdom,
Nothing can ever be out of order,
Depleted, difficult or wrong,
Everything is good, it is all good,
All lovingly and tenderly arranged by Love.

I’m listening
Please dear Lord
Help me to hear You
Let me listen intently;
Help me to turn off the tv
And see You every step of my day,
And help me to realize
It’s not really my day:
It’s Yours.
© C.A. Warman Dickinson
How you are
I know how you are,
And who you are,
So forgive me please,
If I fail to ask how you are;
For I can only see you as God does,
Perfect and complete,
And made in His exact image.

Peace: The calming influence of divine Love
I'm unashamed to work for good, Love:
I love to bring the peace of God
Everywhere I go, and share it with others:
If sought, it will be found, as the proverb goes;
But, often, people are oblivious,
Of the calming influence of divine Love,
And how things are minutely adjusted
To conform with God’s requirements
By a simple calm thought of good;
And I take it seriously that I am anywhere
For the good of everyone,
And know it is because God
Wanted it that way.

The Big Guy
I adhere to God and His principles,
For He is Principle itself,
He is the two plus two equals four
I was looking for;
The mastermind behind
All mathematical equations
And all natural science;
He is all-encompassing,
The supreme Ruler of the universe,
The Big Eye; the Big Guy,
He is everything to me.

The view
I rearranged my little house
And moved everything around,
Just for a change.
Now, I have a seating area
Beside my kitchen window,
And I can sit in my chair,
Enjoying the backyard view,
And contemplating Life.

Down
I’m down with reality
And that’s something new
I’m down with spiritual things.
To use today's lingo;
It’s age-old info I try to impart
Right from the heart,
I tell what I can; to help any man.

More real
I sing, speak, and write
But I do not tweet:
There’s nothing that I cannot do,
If I try to do something;
But technological advancements aside,
I think there is no thing finer
Than greeting someone in person.
© C.A. Warman Dickinson
Thought
When I think in my head
This is conversing with God,
So everything I think, He knows;
And what I get back and think about
Can only be good,
God-like thoughts.
I welcome any good into my life,
And I love that God, being Mind
Therefore being everywhere,
Has the innate power to lead me
To wherever I ought to be,
Simply by thought.

Quiet time - to be with God
I like to be quiet now and then,
It gives me a needed break
From busily giving and doing for others.
Yes, the quietude does wonders
For maintaining my peace of mind,
And some days a little extra me-time
May be needed in order to regroup
And get back into express communique
With my Father, Who art in heaven.

The opposite thought
I’d like to convey the value of the opposite thought,
If one should think or believe one is ill,
All one needs to do is hit that thought
With the opposite thought,
That one is perfect, complete,
Made exactly in God’s image;
So, therefore is spiritual;
And that opposite thought
Has an healing effect,
Just in bringing to light,
Right here in this physical world
That God’s kingdom is supreme.

Be faithful and vigilant
Never let an unkind thought
Into your mind,
Guard your own door of thought,
For that is your real address,
And let only that in
Which advances your growth spiritward:
All else is inconsequential;
And materiality somehow disappears
As the light of Truth is poured over matter.

Learn
You can learn how to heal mankind,
And gently go about your business;
Knowing God trusts you
To give you these loving tasks to do
And you will do to your utmost
To honour Him and enrich the lives of others,
Wherever your thought is welcome.
As you all realize His ever-presence
And depict it in every aspect of your life;
Healing will simply be a natural outcome
Of the practise of good thinking.

Follow God
Be that little child again
And follow God;
Let Him lead in your life:
You will see the abundance
When you seek it out,
And it is all good;
Follow God, my friend,
It will all be for the better,
There is much more to Life
Than what you see, hear and feel.
© C.A. Warman Dickinson
Take the time
Listen for guidance,
Take the time for Love,
Let God guide you,
Know what you’re made of;
You’re the image and likeness
Of the divine, ultimate Mind,
And nothing can stop this,
Not even humankind.

divine Inspiration
Coulc we be inspired beyond what we already are?
It may be possible, even if one knows God is All,
And if we think there’s nothing more to learn;
We ought to know, there is always something new
In God's kingdom,
And when we put Truth first
And work to prove it in our lives,
Our inspiration is indeed divine.

What a Guy!
I have no fear; I have no doubts
My expectancy of good is at the top;
And everything that happens
Does so for a good reason,
So, I am relaxed in knowing
My Father in heaven
Already has everything handled.

Forever near: I loveth Thee
The thoughts come in floodgates,
As my mind is staying steadied
Upon Thee,
And Thou pauseth my wrong thoughts
And helpeth me to get through;
I loveth Thee every day,
For You, I listen, and I play music,
I have joy, I feel abundance;
So stay with me, dear Father,
I care about You forever.

Come to the shoreline
I ask you to come with me
To the shoreline
Of a vast body of water,
The water is Love,
And we are going to go
Very close to it, almost touching it;
And you can touch it if you like;
It will be all-encompassing if you do;
And then, you will perceive
The real meaning of Love.

I see things differently
Being in the proverbial kingdom,
When I look out my window;
I see wonder filling everywhere:
Nothing can change that,
This is God’s will for me:
I sought Him out and He took me in;
This is why I see things differently.
© C.A. Warman Dickinson
Who is winning?
I turned my life over to God,
And I’m winning;
I let Him guide me,
And I win every time;
I know He loves me,
Everyone shows they care,
And all kindnesses towards me,
Say to me that He’s always there.

My father’s approval
Every day of my childhood,
I sought my father’s approval.
And when I addressed that golf ball,
I prayed to my Father in heaven,
That it would go straight,
So my father on earth would be happy,
And sometimes, I asked for it to maybe go
Right in the hole,
But, as my dad lovingly looked on,
It didn’t always go in the hole,
Every time.
He had me work to hone my skills
For years, with weekly lessons;
And, as I was about to enter adulthood,
He left this fine big earth,
And took with him my golf inspiration.
I learned much from golf,
About how to live in the present moment,
Enjoy a walk, discipline myself,
Be creative, express myself with good demeanour,
And how to take one shot at a time:
Not concerning myself with the future,
Next shot, or next step.
Yes, my dear father kept me
In the present tense,
All throughout my precious teens,
Through the simple, beautiful game of golf.

what is a healing?
I had a recent healing,
Necessitated by stupidity;
When, in the effort to create ambience,
I inadvertently touched the fireplace door.
My immediate thought was: "That didn’t happen!"
As I confirmed this vehemently and persistently,
And affirming quietly my perfection as a child of God,
Made in His image and likeness, therefore perfect.
Not once did I inspect my hand
Nor admit anything was wrong;
And hence, the seeming pain
Dissipated in several minutes
With absolutely no after-effect,
How could there be an effect
From something that didn't happen?
You see, in God’s kingdom,
Nothing untoward ever does happen,
And His kingdom is here.

Infinite
I feel the touch of eternal love
I feel the smooth coat of my puppy;
I feel the soft loving smile
Of my golden retriever;
I feel love all around me;
All sent by the Big Guy, God, Love,
And my gratitude is never ending.

Friends and Sunshine
Friends are sun-shiney
Even on cloudy days
They cheer you up
By their loving actions
Kindly thoughts; phone calls,
Baking a pie, doing favours,
Or, asking that a poem be penned,
Yes, friends give you what you need,
Yet, they seem to ask for little in return:
And friends like you are hard to come by.

I work; and am available
I work all day, I work all night,
Working being thinking, praying,
Which I do all day long:
They think of me unemployed,
When in fact,
I work for divine Truth, Love,
In all that I say and do;
I also walk the dogs daily,
Do dishes the old-fashioned way: by hand,
Sweep floors, vacuum, do laundry,
Mow the lawn, or shovel snow,
Make and serve delicious meals,
Shop for bargains: and do errands.
I’m available for gainful employment per se,
For situations where only my expertise is needed,
But, there is no fear, I know I'm guided properly,
And that what is exactly right for me,
Will come to fruition.
© C.A. Warman Dickinson
Take me there
I once was so open
I would do whatever someone asked,
But now, I call the shots,
Depending upon what I think
God would want me to do
In any situation.

time thief, relaxing pastime or gift?
Since I learned how to play guitar
I haven’t had an ordinary day yet.
This instrument is taking
As much of my time as I can offer,
And still, it needs more of me,
In order for me to perfect it,
And I know I can do this:
I have soft feelings for this instrument,
Even if it demands of me,
For how much more did I demand
Of my own baby in arms;
To bring her to maturity?
I know I’m divinely guided:
With a goal to master
This beautiful piece of wood with strings on,
Then, I may offer a gift to others
By making beautiful music.

gratitude heals
I’m pleased as punch
That you’re well again,
Happy to see you up and around,
I knew you would be healed,
And now, here you are,
Standing before me,
Perfectly normal again:
Praise the Lord!

Whatever
In my youth, when I was in a haze
It was like a dream, really,
I was running and getting nowhere.
I much prefer to be clear of mind
Then, I know I can achieve my potential
And thereby live my fullest life.

No pie in the sky idea
My eyes see differently than most,
I see what God sees:
And I see you as complete and whole,
But, you may see what others have told you,
When, the source of your being is Love,
And you are made in God’s likeness,
So there is nothing wrong with you,
Or nothing wrong with my seeing you
Just as God sees you:
As I know these thoughts can help.

Calm felt sense
I feel the Christ within my soul,
I feel it in my daily walk,
As I strive to be like Him;
And I know He leads me.
This heaven sense is something
I have worked hard and long for,
And God granted it to me;
Along with the wisdom to share it
With those who are ready.

I’m serving
I try to be of service
To my fellow man,
And, in so doing,
I may be mistaken,
Or say something dumb,
Or whatever,
But, my heart is in the right place,
And God knows that
He knows I mean to do good unto others:
Because I have love for people,
That is why I am who I am
And I’m serving the Lord.

He’s dependable
Christ was known
To control the weather
So, I try not to let it get to me
That I cannot do the same;
Rain or shine: every day is fine with me.
I was only caught in the rain once,
And took shelter under a bush
Immediately, just as with the parable
Of the fishing boat being at once at shore,
A school bus pulled up,
And opened its doors:
I thought God had sent it for me,
So I hopped on; and met the kindly lady bus driver
Who admitted that she was simply making a usual stop
At the railway tracks nearby,
As school buses in Ontario do;
So, we became instant friends; kindred spirits,
As we sat in her bus, waiting for the rain to cease;
We knew Truth and Love together,
And that God always carries us through,
No matter what the weather.

New and used
Some information that comes
May be new to you,
Or it may be used information
But, worded in another way,
Some you will grab it this time;
Some you will dismiss;
But, my reader friend,
Never discount info coming at you
From a completely different direction;
Because, it just may be what you need.

No fear
There is no fear,
It never raised its ugly head,
And somehow, be it miraculous or not,
I’m being carried through by divine Love,
Who is ever with me,
Providing comfort and care,
And the peace I need.
© C.A. Warman Dickinson
Shake it off
If a symptom should seem
To come upon you: shake it off,
Knowing you are perfect spiritually;
Made in God’s image;
And, as such, you reside
In the eternal kingdom of God,
So know that there is nothing ungood
That can come upon you.
